The admission ticket suits adult visitors. Children and young people up to 18 enter free at the ironworks and don't need this ticket — see our FAQ for how that works if you're travelling with family.

On the day

Völklingen Ironworks is a genuine former ironworks, so wear sturdy shoes for the stairs and metal walkways among the furnaces. Show your mobile ticket at the entrance any time within the day's opening hours — 10:00–19:00 April to November, 10:00–18:00 November to March. Allow two to three hours for the furnace complex, the Ferrodrom and any current exhibition.
